Zebra Transition RFID Portals empower companies to manage and monitor inventory, control costs and optimize workflows with fast, reliable, highly automated updates when tagged assets pass through a portal. Used primarily at dock doors, these integrated portals can reduce the need for human intervention and manual scanning at common chokepoints.

The RF fields from the Zebra portals are optimized for reading RFID labels with a directed, rectangular RF field creating an ideal read zone between the panels. Because of this, Lower RF power can be used to cover the read zone with fewer reads getting outside of the portal.

Do I need software for my Zebra Transition RFID Portal to read RFID Tags and save data?
Yes, the Zebra Transition RFID Portal does not come with software.
Our ClearStream RFID Software is a great solution for the Zebra Transition RFID Portal and is easy to configure allowing you to read RFID tag data to the data destination of your choice.
Bundled Starter Kits are also available with Hardware and software.
Can I use this Transition RFID Portal in outdoor environments?
This Transition Portal is designed for indoor use only and operating in dry, temperature-controlled environments with a temperature range of -20C to +55C.
What is the difference between Version 5 (V5) and Version 4 (V4) Portals?
V4 transition panel has two antennas (six points of radiation); a portal has 12 points. V5 transition panel has three antennas (nine points of radiation); a portal has 18 points.
What is the difference between A and B Panels?
An A Panel is a panel Antenna that either has a reader or can have a reader mounted in it. A B Panel is a panel antenna with no reader that can be connected to a reader in panel A using coax cable.
