    The EM Micro BLE Proximity Beacon EMBC22 with Accelerometer Sensor, Button & Led is a low-cost device used to implement real time identification and localization and track the position of people or items. Its small dimensions and variety of mounting accessories allows easy use in both indoor and outdoor environments.

    The proximity beacon guarantees unique identification with its Serial #, Major ID and Minor ID which is also embedded in the printed QR code for easy identification. Selectable standard mode beaconing includes Off (7 years storage battery life), Sensor Mode (60 m range, 1 sec. beacon interval, battery life: 12 months) to transmit accelerometer data and tap counter, Moving Mode (30 m range, 100ms beacon interval) to transmit only while moving, or Fall Mode (120 m range, 100ms beacon interval) to transmit only after falling and can read up to 200m range at max power.

    What are Bluetooth Beacons?
    Bluetooth Beacons are BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) transmitters that require very little infrastructure to setup and offer very long read ranges. Bluetooth Beacons broadcast their data to nearby Bluetooth Gateways to identify and interact with them. This enables BLE devices to be used in a wide variety of different applications, usually involving the tracking of an item or person. BLE devices are battery powered, and can function for dozens of months straight without requiring a change in battery.
