The TSL 2166-AS1 Long Range UHF Mobile RFID Sled features a fixed High Gain antenna for up to 9 m (29.5 ft) of read range. As per the 2128 UHF Reader, the patented TSL ePop-Loq connector allows data and charge connections to be passed from the reader to an attached device, such as a smartphone or handheld terminal. The unique ePop-Loq system is also designed to safely separate when the reader is subject to large impacts, such as when dropped. The 2166 is the most Ultra-Rugged version of the TSL Readers to-date, being able to withstand drops of up to 6 feet, and able to operate in extreme climates.
The 2166 UHF RFID Sled supports both Bluetooth Classic as well as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The reader can be operated in a Serial Port Profile (SPP) or in a Human Interface Device mode (HID), as well as supporting iApp2 for Apple iOS devices. The reader also supports an automatic re-connect mode for both Android and Apple devices.
