Do I need software for my Zebra FX9600 to read RFID Tags and save data?
Yes, the Zebra FX9600 does not come with software. Our ClearStream RFID Software is a great solution for the Zebra FX9600 and is easy to configure allowing you to read RFID tag data to the data destination of your choice. Bundled Starter Kits are also available with Hardware and software.
I have previously deployed FX9500s, will my application work with the FX9600?
If your application has been developed using Zebra's RFID3 API, then yes, your application will work with the FX9600. However, if you have developed your application using Sirit's C2API or a python script, these are not supported on the FX9600.
Does the FX9600 support bi-static mode of operation?
The FX9600 does not support bi-static mode of operation - only monostatic operation. With the improvements in reader and tag technology the industry in general is no longer offering bistatic feature. The monostatic configuration requires less antenna and cables and is the most cost-effective configuration for practically most deployments today.
